Clingendael - the Netherlands Institute of International Relations - is an independent think tank and academy on international affairs. Its aim is to contribute to a world which is secure, sustainable and just. Clingendael experts conduct policy-oriented analysis and research on strategic international issues. They offer policy recommendations through publications, events and presence in the media.
The Clingendael institute has been selected by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to implement the continuation of the Planetary Security Initiative (PSI) together with a consortium of leading think tanks working on this topic. The PSI aims to catalyze action when climate change is affecting human security and increases conflict risks. It sets out best practices, strategic entry points and new approaches to reducing climate-related risks to conflict and stability, thus promoting sustainable peace in a changing climate. The initiative serves as a global knowledge hub bringing together leading think tanks.
